To start a unit on "SELF", we read different books about myself. One of nursery's myself arts and crafts, is Myself Silhouette. We used it to show ; that we have different body parts that we can utilize, that we can be the same and different from others, and that the materials we use to decorate can describe our interest and preferences.

What you need:
buttons, yarn, sand, paper cutouts, colored paper, sequins, glitters, cloth scraps, cotton, fuzzy wire, Popsicle sticks, crayons, googly eyes etc.
manila paper
glue
jumbo Pentel pen
What to do:
1. Put the manila paper on the floor and ask your child to lay down on the paper and do a pose he/she wants.
2. Trace the outline of his body with jumbo Pentel pen.
3. Scatter the different materials (buttons, yarn, sand, paper cutouts, colored paper, sequins, glitters, cloth scraps, cotton, fuzzy wire, Popsicle sticks, crayons, googly eyes etc.) on the table.
4. Let your child choose material/s he/she wants to put. Help your child in spreading the glue cause it'll be too big and he/she might take a long time doing just that.
5. Guide your child through asking question like what's missing on the face? What is your silhouette wearing, do you want a dress or a shirt? etc.
6. After doing the paper silhouette, let your child explain why they stuck such materials and let him/her describe himself/herself.

After doing Myself Silhouette, you'll recognize that each student can be same with and different from another (through the materials they used on the myself silhouette and on how they describe themselves).
