Since most of our students love painting! We grabbed the opportunity to use it as a learning experience. That's when we talked about letter "Mm", after doing M is for friendly Monster. We decided to do Marble Painting. Days after this activity, the kids were hooked to Marble Painting! Every morning, during our filter in, they did Marble Painting. Try it! You're kids might love this and to those who don't like painting, might like it because of this!

What do you need:

  • 4 to 6 pieces of marbles

  • empty box

  • any bond paper or construction paper

  • 4 to 6 different colors of poster paint

What to do:

1. Get an empty box, can be a shoe box, and place a sheet of paper.

2. Then, you need to choose different colors of poster paint depending on the number of your marbles (6 colors:6 marbles). Mix the poster paint with a little bit of water and you're ready to drop the marble to your paint.

And now you're ready to do Marble Painting!

3. Get the marble from the paint, I used 2 thin popsicle sticks to help me get it out of the paint, it's just like using chopsticks. When you have the marble, drop it on the paper in the box.

4. Tilt and shake the box to move the popsicle sticks! It'll look like the marbles are dancing while leaving tracks of colors!

but that's not it!

You can also use it develop the fine motor skills and cooperation of your child using marble painting!

What do you need:

  • 4 to 6 pieces of marbles

  • tray

  • black cartolina

  • 4 to 6 different colors of poster paint

  • popsicle sticks

What to do:

1. Cut out the black cartolina, making sure that it will fit the tray that you have.

2. Place the tray on a table and put the cut black cartolina in the tray.

3. Do steps 2 and 3 on top!

4. Give 1 popsicle stick per child and ask them to pretend to kick the marble using the popsicle stick to move it around the tray. Surely, they will be following the marble they are "kicking"!

It doesn't just develop their fine motor skills, it also develops their eye-hand coordination, concentration and cooperation.
